We are pleased and honoured to welcome you to the 11th National and 4th International Hydatidology Congress, which will be held in Edirne, Turkey on 2 - 4 October 2024, in cooperation with the Turkish Association of Hydatidology, Trakya University, Edirne Governorship, Balkan Cities Cooperation Edirne Platform and Edirne Municipality. Our congress will be held at Balkan Congress Center in Trakya University. Echinococcosis is one of the most important helminth diseases of our country due to human health, animal health and economic losses. We believe that our congress, which will include the latest developments, will contribute to producing solutions for human and animal health in our country, will be educational and guiding especially for young researchers and will be a good congress with its social activities. We would like to thank to the Governor of Edirne and President of the Balkan Cities Cooperation Edirne Platform, Mr. Yunus SEZER, the Rector of Trakya University, Prof. Dr. Mustafa HATİPLER, the Dean of Trakya University Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Sedat ÜSTÜNDAĞ, the Mayor of Edirne, Atty. Filiz GENCAN AKIN, and the Deputy Mayor, Dr. Ertuğrul TANRIKULU,  for their support in the organization of the congress. Echinococcosis is one of the most important economic and health challenges in countries where it is endemic. We believe that our congress, where all issues related to echinococcosis will be discussed with domestic and international participants, will create a very useful information exchange environment.
